ALL CLASSES - Additional Classes

Okay Everyone,

This is going to get more confusing than it already is, so please pay attention.

  1. I am not ignoring you, I have 84 rupiah in pulsa. So, I am very sorry if you have been trying to contact me. Email is probably the best bet, but with my head pounding, I will probably be in bed after writing this. If you are trying to contact me about your speech topic, I am sorry, but I will not answer any more questions since it was technically due this week.
  2. Thursday morning Speaking I: I have to be on an early train to Surabaya, so we will not have class this Thursday. We will meet twice next week.
  3. Speaking VA - We must meet tomorrow (Wednesday) and have one additional session sometime before the end of the semester. Someone said 3pm is a good time; that is fine with me.
  4. Speaking IIIB Regular - We must also meet tomorrow. Scheduled time 7:30am.
  5. Speaking VB and VC we must schedule one additional meeting before the end of the semester, but we will not have the rescheduled time tomorrow (Wednesday 11/26).
If you do not see your class listed here, then there is no conflict in the scheduling or rescheduling of class. This does not mean that we don't need to add any classes. It just means that this week is too crazy for me to think about that now....

Well, I thought I had this whole settling-in problem fixed you guys. For some reason I keep getting ill. Normally it only happens in the first two months or so, but for some reason it seems like my immune system isn't working properly. Forgive me for once again missing class today (Monday 11/24). Your rescheduled time is listed on the below. If your time conflicts with another class, you may contact me to ask if you may sit in on a different class. SPEAKING III & V - Citations

Visit the following website for information on how to cite your sources for your bibliography.

You MUST have a minimum of two APPROVED sources. Yes, Wikipedia is okay, but Google and About.com ARE NOT approved. You must use sources from the blog unless you have a written confirmation from me that another source was approved. Print out the confirmation and attach it to your bibliography.

Also, make sure your topic is narrow enough for 4 minutes. Things like countries, culture, government, are ALL TOO BIG.

Remember, you must have your presentations prepared for each class since the assigned speaking order will be completely random. You must also attend class for evaluating the speakers even when you have finished your own speech. Your grade will suffer if you do not do evaluations or if you are not present and ready to go when your name is called.

Should you miss class due to illness, you MUST have a written doctor's excuse on official letterhead in order to be excused for missing class. NO OTHER EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

ALL CLASSES - Additional Classes

Hello Everyone,

Since this semester has been incredibly insane, and at times classes have had to be rearranged, I wanted to confirm dates and times for the rescheduling of classes. I have listed the regular class schedule, with confirmed times for additional classes highlighted. Most classes have yet to choose their additional time. If that is the case, you will see several times listed that you may choose from. Once I have calculated the numbers and the decision has been made for rescheduling, you will be informed during class if we will need an additional meeting. PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL CLASSES THIS WEEK (11/17-20). If we need extra time, we will start having additional sessions next week (11/24-27). By the way, if your class does not respond by giving me a time to meet, a time will be assigned for you.
